Made for Prototype Studio at the NYU Game Center. My prompt was a video with a bunch of shapeshifting triangles. So, here is a game about some restless triangles that change shape. My first attempt at using Bitsy!

This week I went to see a play- everything was meticulously designed and the actors were out there yelling, running into the audience, falling, eating dirt, you know, all that. During intermission, I overheard some conversations of people talking about it in the tone of "yeah, this is... kind of not bad. It's pretty good." I agreed and felt bad.

But sometimes that's how it goes! You work so, so, so hard and you make something that just contains all of your best ideas in their most polished form. And people go, "Oh. Yeah! Sure." And then they go home and never think about it again.

i love the twist (at least, i viewed it as a twist) of the player character not being a passive observer of the whole scene, and actually going home and talking to their partner about the show!! that last convo was so well written. it really makes the player 'forget' about the turbulent journey that they just witnessed/experienced with the artist. i love this!!

felt very true haha. Great game!

Wow, the audience responses at the end were so heartbreaking... Lovely little game! Odd detail considering the story, I adore the design of the maroon house at the end lol

Great game! Made me think about how worth it sacrificing a lot of time and effort into art that might never get appreciated really is. The Amazon Prime part made me smile (;

Hehe thank you! And yes, it definitely a big question to ask yourself- is this project still worth something to me if it doesn't have worth to anyone else? Thanks for playing! :)

Thank you alicia!!! <3

Very sweet story. The amazon prime registered trademark namedrop was a little odd though

Thanks, and haha that's fair! I was trying to think of what the most nothing conversation would look like, and that seemed particularly mundane and lacking substance to talk about. No Joff Bozos sponsorship here.

this cycle is so real

but i don't think it matters that most people will not really care about it. i think it would be concerning if everybody cared about it.

took 1 year for the man to finish his art

surely it was all worth for it so that one random guy would say "it's nice to get out of the house" and then never think about the painting again
